Whom does the BIC address?

The centre targets all stakeholders and policy makers ranging from forest managers, tourists, adjacent communities, schools, colleges, universities and scientists. In short, anyone with an interest in the area as well as the research performed here is very welcome.

This includes those wishing to learn about the Kakamega-Nandi forests area, its biodiversity and the changes that have occurred. And it supports the people who need hands-on regarding environmental education or with geospatial information.

The BIC is also set to play a major role in the implementation of the Kakamega Forest Ecosystem Management Plan through provision of tools and services that are instrumental in making key decisions regarding the ecosystem.
