Wishing to get involved?

To facilitate BIC events running smoothly the development/special events team is grateful to volunteers who are willing to assist with mailings, set-up and/or clean-up, conservation events, and providing clerical assistance when needed. This position is very flexible and utilized for 4-6 hours a month near event dates.

During normal weekdays the library needs assistance with:
- checking in and shelving of scientific journals, papers and books.
- entering data in the library database.
- maintaining the reprint collection.
- special projects.

The Kakamega Forest Ecosystem Conservation Fund has been set-up to support small conservation projects in regard to Kakamega Forest. All stakeholders are eligible to apply for funds. An official board will decide about the approval of the proposals.
