Final touches for making the BIC an attractive
centre to be visited and remembered

With the visit of the BIOTA-East research community ahead, end of February / early March 2010 major efforts went into finalizing the setting-up of BIC. While Anastasia Mwaura overlooked the refurbishing of the premises and the creating of signposts, Gertrud Schaab and Nirmal Ojha from Germany helped with the 'beautification'.

Many large-sized maps as well as photo-panoramas and banners were put on the walls to decorate the rooms as well as to make information readily available and the beauty of the landscape visible. Technical support went into the setting up of PCs and laptops and in the installation of software, data, and tools. Everyone involved got rather excited.
