The Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Noah Wekesa being the first visitor to the Biodiversity Information Centre
The Honorable Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Noah Wekesa gave us the honour of being the first visitor
to the BIC. On the ?? February 2009, just days after the BIC Officer Anastasia had moved into the BIC
building on the DFO's compound at Lurambi, the Minister together with the KFS Director David Mbugua stopped
over for a surprise visit. Unfortunately at that time, the BIC was not fully equipped yet. Therefore, the
Minister could only learn of the BIC's objectives and the planned facilities as well as the information to
be displayed at the centre. Therefore, the wish was expressed that the Minister would pay another visit
when the Biodiversity Information Centre would be fully operational.
