In the end we all agreed that this has been a real workshop! Both teams from MMUST and MAK presented their teaching materials developed so far, i.e. those related to the two modules GIS 1 and Geodata Use. Through each we went in detail. This enabled lively discussions on the lecture notes, the slides as well as the exercises regarding the topics covered and the ways to present them. Gaps were identified, repetitive efforts became obvious, but also new ideas were born. While at the opening day, with DVC AA Dr. Ernest Ogwang officially opening the project meeting, we had 14 participants, the core group working on the actual project tasks narrowed down to nine later.

Prof. Dr. G. Schaab took the chance of discussing project matters at MMUST (5 & 7 August 2014) before joining the team on trip to Kampala.
